Pupillometry examinations of the human eye with the eye diagnostic device PEP-2000 – First results

Abstract Pupillometry forms the diagnostic basis for numerous pathologies of eye. For this reason, fast and accurate diagnostics in field ophthalmology are essential. Two examination techniques, full-field ERG pupillometry were combined a device developed by ICM e.V. to reduce process both examiners patients. In paper, is examined quality measurements. A study with 12 healthy subjects (3 f, 9 m, 36.33 ± 11.94 years) was conducted evaluate device. The results showed that minimal pupil diameter 40 % higher than literature values. main reason differences low light intensity 15 cd/m2. However, maximum within range researched pupillary reaction measurements show values obtained (amplitude, contraction time peak time) latency 690 ms too high. could be moderate detection rate 50-70 %. Nevertheless, plausible comparable analysis eye PEP-2000. Further work will look at improving rates.
